Charles Sturt University (CSU) in partnership with the Goulburn Ovens (GO) Institute of TAFE has developed a Regional University Centre (RUC) at the existing Rural Industries Goulburn Ovens TAFE campus, Tone Road Wangaratta.
CSU chose the Wangaratta GOTAFE campus due to its successful standing and national profile in agriculture and animal production, which both programs CSU support.
It is anticipated the RUC model will deliver degree programs at the GOTAFE campus articulate with existing TAFE programs.
The key objective of the new facility is to prepare and educate the next generation of vet nurses, agriculturalists, horticulturalists and nurses for rural and regional Australia. This will be facilitated in the new development with the construction of a 40 student animal anatomy and wet laboratory with PC2 capacity and provide a preparation area to service this.
