The McQuoin Centre for Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College provides state of the art facilities for the school including a new multi-purpose hall, indoor sports centre with indoor swimming pool and gymnasium.
The multi-purpose hall has a full stage that can also be used as a drama teaching space. It seats 1200 people in full auditorium mode and 350 people in sports mode. The hall sits above the indoor pool and shares change room facilities with it.
The project also includes a new TAFE commercial catering kitchen which is used for major school functions.
The new additions to the college provided an open and light filled building with the swimming pool at the lower level and a 1200 person hall above.
BHA contributed their extensive industry based experience designing indoor fitness and sports centres to ensure that the project reached high commercial operational standards.
The additions are closely linked to the existing school’s teaching spaces and overlook landscaped external gardens.
