The Nan Tian Temple is a very large Religious Precinct developed on a greenfield Site on the Princes Highway south of Wollongong, to serve the present and future cultural, educational and religious needs of the Australian Buddhist Community.
The Temple Complex promotes and integrated religious and cultural outlook for the community in Australia, as well as introducing the wider Australian Community to the Buddhist way of life.
The Site development was masterplanned, Designed and Documented by BHA and Taylor Brammer Landscape Architect (TBLA) for the International Buddhist Association of Australia.
BHA and TBLA worked very closely with the client and the consent authority, Wollongong Council, to create a landmark development that integrates into the Wollongong community and Landscape.
The Consent process required extensive consultation with Local, State and Federal Authorities and was successfully delivered without major objection.
BHA and TBLA provided full contract administration throughout the 2 year construction period.
